Got Jesus?
Did you know there is a real Heaven (Eternal Life) and a real Hell (Eternal Death)? The Bible tells us that we all will one day spend an eternity somewhere. The only question is where? Please scroll down and read for yourself what the Bible, Gods Holy Word, has to say about how you can know that you have eternal life and not eternal death!
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
SIN
The Bible tell us that Sin is anything that goes against Gods Law. It can be more easily described as anything we do, say or think that goes against God's Word. 1 John 3:4 for sin is the transgression of the law.
The Bible also tells us that everyone has sinned and comes short of pleasing God. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
HELL
The Bible tells us that there is a special place for Satan and his angels and while it wasn't created for man, it is where we spend eternity separated from God. Mathew 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Emmanuel
The Bible tells us how God came to this earth as a baby born from a virgin. He would be called "Emmanuel" which means "God with us". He would be God's only begotten son. Mathew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Sacrifice
The Bible tells us that there is a penalty for sin and that is spiritual death or to be eternally separated from God. Since we all have sinned, we are all doomed to such a place as hell. BUT God has made a way for us. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
God loves us so much that he proved it with allowing his perfect Son to pay the penalty for us. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
You might have heard of one of the most famous versus known to man. It says it like this, John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Victory
The Bible tell us that Jesus paid the penalty of sin for us and then defeated death by rising from the grave. Luke 24:6-7 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Because of all this, you can have salvation today by acknowledging that 1. You are a sinner in need of a holy God, 2. That Jesus paid the price for your sin, was crucified, buried and rose again on the third day, 3. By putting your faith in him, asking him to forgive your sin and save your soul.
Pray
The Bible tells us to call upon him for salvation. I can not pray for you and the truth is that the very words that I am about to give to you are not special and they do not hold any saving power in them. The saving power is through the work that Jesus has already done. Your heart decision to turn from a life a sin and put your faith in Christ is what we are called to do in an act of accepting this free gift. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
A simple prayer LIKE this one,
Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe you are the only one who can save me. I can not save myself. I understand that you paid the price for my sin that day on the cross and that you rose again 3 days later. I do not want this life of sin anymore, please come into my heart and save me. I put my faith completely in you. In Jesus name Amen.
